The Petunia Patch (main house) has two separate rental accomodations- the Balcony Suite and the Garden Suite. A third rental accomodation, Sweet Pea, is a separate, little cottage on the same property. Just a short walk from the cottages are restaurants, shops, and a lovely ocean beach. All amenities are within walking distance, including the ferry, bike and boat rentals, shuttle bus, tennis courts, grocery store and bakeries. Hop on the bike path and pedal to Edgartown - an especially beautiful early morning ride along the beach.

The special magic of the town of Oak Bluffs will capture your imagination!

OAK BLUFFS

Oak Bluffs Harbor

Take a daytime or evening stroll along the Oak Bluffs marina and pick out your dream yacht! Oak Bluffs has the largest island harbor and is always a busy, exciting place during the summer months. Some of the town’s best restaurants, ice cream shops, and bars are along the harbor. One of the nicest things is an evening stroll by the harbor with your honey or your family. First buy an ice cream cone and then meander along the long wharf, enjoying the sunset and the sights. Return to The Petunia Patch via the Campground and catch glimpses of the lighted interiors of the sweet little cottages.

Night Life

Are you interested in the night life? Then you’re in the right place! Oak Bluffs is the Island’s center for night-time entertainment with no driving necessary since all Oak Bluffs drinking establishments are within walking distance of the Petunia Patch. Enjoy outdoor drinks, sushi, and live music at the Oak Bluffs harbor. Try Nancy’s ,The Sand Bar or another fine establishment by the water’s edge. The Offshore Ale Company is a great place to enjoy home-crafted brews and delicious pub-style food. If you feel like dancing, hop on over to the Lampost or David's Island House for live music and and an active social scene. Don't forget to stop by Seasons Eatery and Pub, which is the Island place to be for karaoke and local flavor. After a fun night on the town, you’ve worked up an appetite! Follow the delicious aroma right to Backdoor Donuts and enjoy some warm donuts or famous apple fritters. If you choose to stay close to home and concoct your own delicious cocktails, the town’s package stores are only a short walk from The Petunia Patch and Sweet Pea.

Vineyard Haven

Vineyard Haven offers excellent shops, fine restaurants, and a beautiful harbor. Walk to Owen Park, located at the lower end of Main Street, to watch the ferries coming and going. The Tisbury Town Beach is also located at Owen Park, and is a great spot for kids to wade, swim, or look for crabs. Are you a theatre buff? Visit the Vineyard Playhouse, which houses the Island’s only year-round professional theater company.

West Tisbury

West Tisbury has many points of interest for nature lovers. Cedar Tree Neck sanctuary offers unspoiled woods, with a freshwater pond and brooks, and is bounded by North Shore Beach. Picnics, fishing, and bathing are not permitted, but there are marked trails for those who enjoy bird-watching and gentle hikes. The Polly Hill Arboretum boasts more than two hundred species of trees, beautiful flower gardens, and a picnic area. Tours are available.
